What is Omega 3?
Omega 3 is the name for the family of polyunsaturated essential fatty acids found most abundantly in fish. Fish oil is an excellent source of eicosapentaenoic (EPA) acid and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Omega 3 has been found to support brain, vision and heart function as well as useful during pregnancy. DHA has a key structural element to the brain, retina and many other body parts. For optimal health, there is an omega 6 to omega 3 ratio that should be adhered to.
